haiz i tink i'll try to type wat i did during obs again...4 the sake of entertaining u guys...x(
Day 1
Packed my stuff getting ready to leave jav's hse, heading off to punggol jetty to meet up wit the rest of 305. But i can't help tinking of rox...wanted to call her but shes still aslp n i dun wana wake her frm her beauty slp. Took a ferry across to Pulau Ubin where the OBS is...upon reaching dere, we were separated into different watches, n i was assigned to "bo seng" ( lim bo seng geddit?). My watch instructor was a guy called gary....looks lyke a bloody "ba poh" but he was cool. We had our lunch after puttin ur bags dwn in our dorms...o yea i was assign o a residential grp...quite lucky...kan get to shwr all i wan!!! After lunch, we headed dwn to the jetty as we were going to kayak..the weather was cool n windy so wun get much of a tann...we kayak to a jetty not far away n had to go 4 jetty jump...it was a suspended plank frm the jetty 1m++ high frm the water n we were suppose to jump dwn into the water..damn fun!! Then we haf to kayak back to our back...but dis time the front guy suppose to turn his body facing his partner. N i happen to b the front guy n i had to turn arnd t paddle...which means i kan onli push usuig my shlder muscles n no more triceps...which kan b quite tiring after sum time...after reaching shore we had a small discussion wit gary abt our watch. Dina time!!! Dina was realli sumptious and we get to shwr after tt. Supper was at 10...half way thru it the bloody fire alarm rang n we had to gather at the parade square...damn lame...haha n we get to go back to slp after tt...
Day 2
Woke up at 5:00am 2dae n wnet straight 4 a cold bathe to wake myself up...after shwring i went to wake everyone up as we had PT at 5:55am...hehe i'm 2daes IC...cool huh? Even tho i wasn't IC yesterdae i still did most of the wrk...haha..Aniwae back to PT...it was peanuts compared to our rugby PT lor..hehe *puff up chest*...after tt we get to haf our breakfast...had tasteless beehoon wit vinegar lyke chilli....damn yucky!!! After breakfast, gary wanted us to go back to our store to get all the climbing gears n meet him at the MPH (multi-purpose hall). We had to do sum orieteering in the OBS grounds n not even half way thru it started to rain...n our maps got wet n tore...stoopid shit!!!! Then we get to do n learn belayering (dunno how to spell haha). It's sth lyke absailing but instead of climbing, it is to break the climbers fall. We hafta climb dis tripod thingy n deres dis obstacle which is a log suspended 5-6m high in the air...n we are suppose to walk across it...damn scary sia!!! Then it started to rain AGAIN!!!! Stoopid weather spoiling our dae...but we get to haf early lunch...after lunch we had to collect rations 4 tmr as we were camping out the next 2daes...we spend the next few hrs sorting n giving out rations to everyone in the watch for them to pack in their small lil puny bagpacks! While my fren is bathing, i secretly took his fone to mag rox...she was the 1st person i tot of msging as i miss her so so much....but he found out n took back his fone..hehe
Day 3
After beakfast, we headed straight 4 our campsite...but we had to go to different checkpoints to find clues to find the location of our campsite. We had to walk roughly 20km b4 reaching our campsite....it was damn tiring especially wit the super heavy bag we're carrying and the scorching hot sun!! We lost our way several times which further increase the distanse we cover...we reach our campsite at Noordin Beach arnd 5+ and started pitching our basha...i went to help out in the cooking n gave the idea of digging in the sand and put the wire gauze over it with a stick supporting the gauze...but bloody hell they din leave ani dina 4 mi after all my hardwrk!! so i had to cook my own noodles to eat...sniff sniff. By this time, it was sunset oredy. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking...if only rox kan b here with me...realli wanna watch the sunset wit her...i borrowed a fone frm my fren 2 call rox....wanted to tell her abt the sunset n how much i wish she kan b here 2 watch it with mi but was cut off as dere was no reception..but hey at least i get to tell her how much i missed her!!! Slpt in the basah quite cooling wit the sea breeze blowing thru the opening of our basha....
Day 4
2dae we had to trek to the jetty back at OBS land which is abt 5km away....we set off straight early in the morn to reach dere early...we'll b kayaking to our new campsite 2dae...quite funky...but the weather was damn hot...applied loads of sunblock...hehe...my kayak was the most funky wan...we were labelled as the "rescue cum mama shop" kayak...my partner n i will owaes b the 1st to reach if sumbody capsized as our boat have the most horse pwr...as for mama shop, its bcox i provide food for other kayak...i spread marmalade on their bread n pass it to em by their paddle...hehe quite gross but its delicious! By the time we reach our campsite, it was oredy 6+ n we had to bulid our basha quicly as it'll b dark soon...we built a preety shabby basha as we decided to slp out 2nite...i was in charge of cooking todae n i whipped up a wunderful meal 4 everyone...n dis time i make sure i haf food to eat!!! After eating i laid dwn on the groundsheet gazing at the stars tinking of rox whos so far away...n i was tokin to sum frens abt our lives...den i saw a shooting star flashing past my eyes..it was the most wunderful thing i've encountered...n i quickly made a wish...hehe if onli rox kan c it huh?
Day 5 (today)
Woke up damn early 2dae as its the last dae n i can't wait to get back hm!! Had a bad stomache n went to the beach to shit...haha quite sick but wat to do? Its lyke u kan c ur own shit floating in the sea lor....haha...we haf abt 5 km to travel 2dae n we took a veri short time to complete the journey..everybody was so eager to get back to s'pore! Everyone was back 4 lunch todae...including the mobile guys...all of em look lyke hungry ghost man!
They din even haf a proper meal while camping out lor...poor things...hehe while taking the ferry back to s'pore, i can't help tinking...sum dae i'll bring rox here to watch the sunrise n sunset wit mi...hehe xP
